The Platinum Jubilee

Thursday 2nd June

Thursday 2nd June –In conjunction with other Churches in the UK, the Church bells will ring from 19.52 hours to 20.22 hours. The Druids Arms will host a Barbecue from 6pm in the evening with Live Music from the fabulously versatile  Ross Kirk from 7pm and at 8:30 beacon lighting to coincide with the lighting of beacons across the country.

Friday 3rd June

Friday 3rd June - A concert will take place in the church featuring the Community choir and the Primary School choir. In addition the acclaimed guitarist Benji Bartlett will be performing. The event will be free, there will be a retiring collection in aid of Stanton Drew PTA, and St Mary’s Church

Saturday 4th June

Saturday 4th June - A Right Royal Get Together - An evening of entertainment in the Village Hall with a full bar, live music from the acclaimed musicians, Trio Paradis performing music of the British Isles followed by a hot and cold buffet and then a Last Night of the Proms inspired singalong and more royal shenanigans.  A fun and enjoyable evening.    Entry by ticket (see poster advert). - Pretty much sold out as of Tuesday!

Sunday 5th June

Sunday 5th June - Picnic in the Paddock – 1pm to 5pm.

In the village hall paddock, there will be a bar serving alcoholic and soft drinks all afternoon . Everyone will be welcome to come along with their own picnic and blanket to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. There will also be tables and chairs laid out for those who prefer to keep their blanket on the ground as a fond memory.
